I have a v7 ps2, a lite on 401(?)dvd+r writer and use alcohol to back up my games. I have been using datasafe +r's for games and movies and they are not working on my ps2. Has anyone got any advice as it is driving me mad. Is the only solution a dvd-r writer?

I have a PS2v7+ as well and use strictly DVD+R for all my games and movies. Try a different media type. I have used Sony, TDK, and Verbatim DVD+R discs and have had no problems whatsoever.
