I used "DVD into DivX4 format - Guide for 16:9 anamorphic movies" article to rip my DVD. I made subtitle file with VobSub Filter in VirtualDub after this. The question is how I play the subtitles in Windows Media Player? Thank you.

Inside the VobSub's package, there's a program called DirectVobSub. Install that, it's a set of filters for Media Player for VobSub subtitles. I don't know/believe that the filters work with bloatware-versions of MediaPlayer (read: anything above v6.4), but as we all know (right?) all Windows versions do have v6.4 bundled with them. Just click Start, select Run and write "mplayer2.exe".
