Hey all, I've been looking at DVD burners for my computer for a while and i finally found a good deal on one. It also comes with roxio's DVD/CD creator 6. Is this decent software? and also, i was informed that i won't be able to back up my DVD's due to copyright protection. is there a way around this? also, is there a good place to see if my player would use DVD+R or DVD-R? Any help is really appreciated.

Not really. It loves to conflict with other burning apps. Nero is a very stable and relatively benign software package.

There certainly is. DVD Shrink is a favorite so if you have a look at our Guides section and cruise through the forums you'll find a wealth of information on it. Check out this site too:

You 'da man' Neph :-)
Interestingly, from several choices at the same price point I selected my burner (Sony DW-U18A) because it came with the latest Nero 6 Ultra Edition Suite!
Burner works, but I'm thrilled to have that Nero, LoL ;-)
