Hello!

I have this funky printer that allows you to print directly onto a DVD label, however the only Printable labels I have found so far are Princo. These seem to be quite crap, because the movies do not play smoothly in some DVD players (mostly the cheap ones).

ANyone know of good DVD-R/DVD+R media that is good for movies?

While on the subject - does the brand you use matter even? Or is all DVD media pretty much the same, and it is the burner and/or the player that makes the difference between a movie that plays properly and a move that doesn't.

My burner is a brand new Macintosh dual layer combo drive which was a friggin rip off so i would assume it is a good quality burner.

any help is appreciated! :)

Of course the different brands of media offer, variable qualities.

If you want the BEST, buy Taiyo Yuden (TY) - but they are expensive.

As an alternative I would propose Ritek G04, which are very good discs.

Try to find them, I can give you a link at http://dvd-and-media.com , where you can buy nice quality CloneDisc (Ritek G04) DVDs - if you are located in the UK

I have Epson R200 that allow me to print label directely to the dvd blank.
There are many good dvd (printable) on the market, but this is what I use:

- When I like to print up to the hub I use Prodisc (white).
- When I like to print up to the stack ring, I used Ritek (white).
- When I like to print up to the stack ring and hollographic affect, I used Prodisc (silver).

I back up all of my movies with these three medias and very happy with them so far.
