Help! Broke white pin using slide card!

Hey guys,
I recently got the Magic Swap Magic and Card. Unfortunately I ended up breaking the white pin that slides when I resorted to using the "knife method" when the card didn't work. Now, no game seems to boot up and there is some grinding sound. Is there anything I can do to save my PS2? Does the flip-top case not need this white pin? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all you should take it apart to make sure there are no small pieces in there and you should be able to use the flip top...after cleaning put in an original game and try it.

Yea I actually found the piece that broke off, just the tiny white pin....

I would put in an original game to see if it plays allright using the eject button. If that works the flip top will work because that piece only moves when your tray opens and closes so with the flip top it wont move

Original games don't put with the eject button anymore either, can you boot up from the flip-top?

The tray will not eject. Is that what you are saying??

Yup, unless i manually help it come out. Then when I hit eject again it goes back in, but games won't load.
