is there a faster dvdripper than mactheripper for mac?

Mactheripper is good but not fast,on my g4 it takes 30min.
for 4,7gb
On pc are programs that copy a dvd in 15min.
I hope there are faster programs for mac then mactheripper!!!

I'm not too sure RED_BULL. I have a G4 also, and M.T.Ripper takes from 15-20 mins for me. There is one more you might wanna try. OSex - but I think OSex is what M.T.Ripper is based off of. (I'm not sure about that, might be wrong.)

I tried osex before but its a little slower than
mactheripper.DVDbackup is the first ripper i had but thats the
slowest.maybe it takes 30min. because i have a 933mhz
g4.And sometimes i work on internet while copying,it can
make the proces slower.

yep. That sounds 'bout right now. See, I have 1.5 Ghz and I usually close all programs but iTunes. I'm sure that accounts for your extra 10 minutes. btw, let us know if you find something faster!

This is strange,i copy a dvd from 3,15gb and it was only 13min.,
so only 19min.for 4,5gb.And i was even playing a game while copying.
And the first time i used mactheripper i copyed a dvd and it was 20min for 4,5gb.Can anyone explain this!?

The ripping speed depends mainly on the read speed of your drive and not on the ripper itself.
You can always update the firmware of your drive to get a higher reading speed and therefore faster rippings (Pioneer cripples the read speed with their official firmware).

The speed depends on the drive mostly and of course how fast your computer is. If the disc is scratched or has a lot of fingerprints it will take longer too.

Can someone recommend a drive? I have a Pioneer and didn't know that it had it's own "Official Firmware" that crippled the speed. Any input is appreciated.

You can download the latest unofficial firmware for your drive here
http://www.macetvideo.com/flashpioneerosx/flashpioneerosx.html
It is a French site but the only thing you need to do is scroll down until you see your drive and click on the 1.33 button to download the firmware.
To install the firmware make sure no other application is running and there is not a disc in the drive.
Now just double-click on the PIONEER DVR-105 Updater and follow the instructions (say yes to change the kernel and the firmware). It should take a couple of minutes.
Once that it is done reboot and your drive will be zone free, will burn 1x DVDs at 2X if you want and will read at 12x.
You also need this application to change Apple DVDPlayer region settings as many times as you want.
