I have been trying to rip and encode my lord of the rings EE DVD and have been having some problems.

First I ripped and encoded each disk seperately and everything worked fine but when I joined them together in VirtualDub the resulting AVI had audio sync problem after 1 hr and 45 min (basically once the second part (disc) starts).

I then tried just encoding the whole thing as one file instead of two parts and I get the same problem. Audio is fine for 1 hr and 45 min and for the remaining 2 hours and 2 min the audio is off.

I tried using interleaving in VirtualDub (100ms) and that didn't help. I played around with the delay and if I set it to 500 ms the second half will be in sync but the first won't :(

So has anyone else had a similar problem? Or know what can be done? I would really like to keep it as one file.
