Star Wars, using DVD XCopy-simple mode file is HUGE!

I just got the the new SW set, and wanted to make a copy right away. I used simple mode in Platinum, and it seemed to copy fine. When I looked to see how much compression there would be, if any, by using advanced mode, just the movie is 7.5GB! Thats using about 40% compression. Anyone else notice this?
