hi all.
I just recently got cogswaploader working and tried to boot some ps2 dvd games with it. I used the method that was explained but the game just starts to load then stops and stays on a black scren :(. The games i tried to boot work fine with my ar 2.

heres my boot method
1: put in ps1game
2: wait for cogswap to load and say psx cdrom
3: eject and put in high toc ps2game (GTA3PAL)
4: let it load then pressed x
5: waited for it to stop and show the msg cogswap, and then swap using knife/cog trick
6: press x and get a black screen

two things id like to know:

1. Even though the cogswap loader loads fine on my ps2, is it still important those files it says are set to pal?, as almost every backup i have is ntsc. Im not sure if mine are set to pal as i downloaded it premade from a site and added in my boot game.

2. Do i need anything else apart from this program and a high toc ps2 game, to load large ps2 games from any region? ( eg. Starocean )

P.s I have a model 30003 R Pal which is either a version 5 or 6

Thanks for any help
