FujiFilm DVD-R Burn Slow?

Today I bought some FujiFilm DVD-Rs that are supposed to burn up to 8x. Before I start to burn with Nero, I am only allowed to choose 1 and 2x. This happened before when I bought some Fuji 4x. In the past I have been able to burn 4x using Fuji, but now it seems that none of these discs will go that high on burner. I have never had this problem with any other brand. Anyone else seen this problem or know of a remedy.

Are you running the latest firmware for your drive?
