From cd-rw.org FAQ:

I have download .BIN&.CUE/.ISO files - what to do with them?

You can burn them to a CD-R or a CD-RW with:

-Alcohol 120% - My favourite, excellent software, easy and yet very advanced (burns ISO, BIN/CUE, CCD, CDI, BWT files!):
http://cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/alcohol120.cfm

- BlindWrite - easy to use: http://www.cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/blindwrite_suite.cfm

- FireBurner - also very good, a single .EXE file! http://www.cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/fireburner.cfm

- BurnAtOnce - A handy and FREE tool for burning .bin/.cue/.iso. Easy to use!
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/burnatonce.cfm

- Nero - many of you have this, but it can't handle all image files:
http://www.cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/nero.cfm

- CDRWin - This is the original BIN/CUE software:
http://www.cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/cdrwin.cfm

You can also mount image files as virtual CD-ROM drives using

Alcohol - http://cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/alcohol120.cfm

Daemon Tools - http://www.cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/daemon_tools.cfm

There are also several softwares you can use to exploit & manipulate BIN/CUE files in various ways:

CDMage - http://www.geocities.com/cdmage/
IsoBuster - http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/

it's a driver 3 dvd ps2 game, and everytime i combine the bin and the cue and burn it, it's too small on the dvd anyways, i've used cdrwin to combine the cue and the bin aswell. I can't figure this one out, is the bin and the cue all i need, i just want to learn how to take a downloaded backup and burn it to dvd.

Not very big, bout 800, could this just be a bad download, i've made nice coasters already, the dowload said dvd ps2, but nothing working, i just need to be taken threw the steps. Do all downloaded back ups show up as a bin and cue file? Do i just winrar them to a file and then burn them, or do i have combine them useing a program? If i need to do anything special with the files other than just burning them plz tell me.

with a 800mb bin file i would say you got yourself a dvd rip that you burn to cdr not dvdr, and to answer your other question some are bin/cue, some are iso , some are gi, and some are mdf/mds files

hi,

i also downloaded a ps2 game that was about 600 mb and it was a bin and a cue file the bin file was much bigger than the cue. i burned it whit alcohol 120% and it works great. just make sure you select by settings from alcohol playstaion 2. and select the bin file of the game and it wil burn automaticly the bin and the cue. i dont know much of it but i know that you have to burn the bin and the cue whit alcohol or a other good program.

well, to be exact. u do NOT burn the .cue file.

the .cue file gives the path and way the .bin has to be burned.

do this for fun : change the extension of the .cue file, into .txt and see what it is with word or sumpting.

like this : game.cue ---> game.txt---> dubble click on the file and there u go ! :)

it would say sumthing like this :

FILE "game.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

I "alter" my cue files sumtmes this way, if they do not contain the rught path to the bin file.

almost any burn prog will accept .cue file

the noobie way is this:

1.start Nero start smart
2.select "copy and backup"
3.select "burn image"
(window will apear, at the bottom where it says "file type" choose "image files *.nrg *.iso *.cue !! )
4.then u will be able to SEE the .cue file.
5.click on it, and click "open"
6.choose ur writing speed (1x or 2X, lowest possible)
7.click next !!!
8.walk to the toilet
9.lower ur jeans
10.And take a crap, coz this may take a while ! :)

( u WILL NEED a modchip or cog swap thingy to play backup games !!).

*who wouldn't understand this ???*

im new to this board as well, but i wanna ask can we openly talk about donwloaded games on this site..isn't that a bit risky....backing up ,and sharing is allright in my mind, but blatantly almost talking about pirating is another..holla back..i just wanna be safe on this board...

HI,

What sort of file was the driver 3?
And was it a rip or a full dvd?
And i think you can talk about downloaded games, well not how you can download them but "how to burn them" i think you can talk about that.

what burn program you used?
I use Nero or Alcohol 120% if you use alcohol you have a option to those wat type of imgae you wan to burn than you can choose playstation2 and load the cue file and burn it. Whit Nero you select burn image and than you load the cue file Nero will make it 650 mb because ps2 rips cant be bigger than 650 mb if it is larger your ps2 wont play it. My favorite is Nero.
If you have loaded the cue file whit Nero it automatic makes it to 650 mb even if you put in a 800 mb cd-r disc.
