my chipped PS2 only plays backed up games now...

I have recently gotten my PS2 chipped to play games that have been backed up, but now my machine doesn't play original (unburnt) games, or original (unburnt) DVD movies. Does anyone know why this is?

My chip is a magic 3.1U.

Who modded your ps2? sounds like they messed it up if it was a solder on modchip

My advice is to just bitch to them about the problem, they should accept that they should fix the problem of refund you if it is in their T&C.
