There are a lot of different DVD burners out there that burns both the + and the - formats.

Do a little search here and you will see plently threads about this issue.

Good luck!

Definitely go with a dual format burner. You'd be handicapping yourself with a single format drive.

Please don't :) But I'm glad your able to burn +R(RW) media with you +R(RW) burner, which is what it's suppose to do.

Well a dvd burner will burn dvd's, that is what it's for. Now a -R(RW) burner will only burn -R(RW) media, and a +R(RW) burner will only +R(RW) media. And a dual format +/-R(RW) will burn both ... So like Nephilim said, go with the dual format.

And don't forget about dual layer burners, which can burn the new dual layer discs (really expensive right now, but will hopefully come down in price soon), and both +R(RW) & -R(RW) media.
