hi i have a v7 ps2 and i installed a duo chip.all my connections look fine but i cannot boot any games.original or backups dvd or cd's it seems my dvd drive isnt getting enough power im thinking maybe i need a a power and ground wire with more augmentation. am i on the right track please help.

ps i do get the bios screen but no games boot

i tired thicker wires fro power and ground same problem. any ideas?
