I'm sorry if this has been anwered before or if its the wrong forum, but I've searched everywhere and can't find anything and this seemed to be the best place for the post. I have a game installed and am trying to use a no-cd fix. I downloaded the fix on bit torrents. It came with two mds files and instructions. The instructions say, "For this fix to work you need to dissable all IDE cd/dvd drives. Pulling out the power connectors will do.
Mount the included image in Daemon Tools and start the game. Now you, like me, can play your game without the cd in the drive." I installed daemon tools and I go to virtual cd/dvd-rom, and then select mount image. Only one of the two mds files showes up so I mount it. From here on out I'm lost. I am just calling the virual drive H: and I mount the image, after that an empty window shows up with the name "mds file"(H:) it says the total size is 58KB but I don't know if I've mounted it right. I've tried turning all emulations on, then running the game but it still won't work. I think it may have to do with disabling all IDE cd\dvd drives, because I have no idea how to do that. Is that the problem or am I using the Daemon tools wrong?
And just one more quick question, I have an iso file that has three discs to it. I burned the third disc and it worked fine, but both other discs come up with error messages when I am trying to burn the iso image to disc. I am using Alcohol 120% and cd-rw's it always has the error at different times, once at 7% once at 67% and a bunch of other random times, could it be the iso image is corrupt or the rw's instead of just r's, or something else? I have recieved a ton of help from afterdawn so thanks to everyone that will give their advise and time to others.
