PROBLEM WITH DVD WORKSHOP 2

I've never used DVD Workshop 2 before and have just recently installed it. However, after creating a new project, when I try to load a video file on the library (in EDIT step ) the program crashes: I get a message saying that "DVD Workshop has encountered a problem and need to shutdown" (not the exact words but you get the idea). Can anyone tell why this is happening? And how can I solve it?
