I am fairly new to DVD authoring, and am in the process of creating a wedding DVD. I have the layout, menus, audio etc already to go, but I would like to add scrolling ending credits to the end of the DVD. Is there any way of doing this that anyone knows of?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, mocaso

Depends on if you have a program that will add scrolling text. NeroVision Express, Adobe Premiere Pro, and if I'm not mistaken, even Windows MovieMaker can do this.

You can edit in some footage of some sort for your credits to run on. An image or black video will do. Most editing programs allow .jpeg or .png images.

In Premiere Pro, you open up the titler and change the Title Type menu from still to roll. Next change the Roll/Crawl options so your tile starts and ends off or on screen, moves top to bottom or bottom to top, etc.

With NeroVision Express, select the text options tab on the edit movie window, scroll down through the options and select "Credits", add to your Timeline and then edit the credits to your liking. You can position them to start and stop by dragging them around on the timeline.

I have both Ulead Workshop 2 and Factory 3. I also have roxio 7, but for whatever reason "DVD Builder" will not open with Roxio.

Gonna try the Adobe you mentioned to see if I can get that to work...thanks

Here's some Premiere Pro links:

For a "getting started" book and other stuff...

Some cool tutorials once you get the basic stuff figured out...

I actually used the "Dummies" book to get started with. Premiere is about the best editor there is. You have to spend a lot more money to get anything better.

Premiere is a resource hog. The real minimum requirements for resonable performance are 3.0 P4 HT, 1 Gig of RAM and 80 Gig or bigger hard drive. XP required. You can get by with less, Just save your work a lot.
