Here's my situation. I figured when I bought this camcorder it would come with the necessary hardware/software to download the videos to my PC...it doesn't. I've since discovered that I need a Firewire cable and an IEEE1394 card. I'm looking at buying Pinnacle Studios 9 and was told their $90 package comes with the Firewire card. Here's where I get lost. In searching the internet I read several reviews about Pinnacle Studios 9 and they're talking about using MovieBoxDV which is a $200+ product. Is this piece of hardware necessary? Can't I use my camcorder as the playback device and run it via it's Firewire cable directly to my PC? Do I have to have this MovieBoxDV device?

Thank you for any help.
