I have a pinnical show center. It plays divx and some xvid movies. The problem is some xvid movies there is no sound.
Pinnacls soultion for this:
Quote:MPEG and DivX- or Xvid-AVIs with a Dolby Digital ("AC3") soundtrack can generally be played, but the following restrictions apply:
• A Dolby Digital-compatible software decoder must be installed on your PC in order to play or convert Dolby Digital using the ShowCenter application. Such a decoder is included with many DVD playback applications (e. g. Cyberlink, Intervideo). If no decoder is installed, then the ShowCenter application will play the movie without sound and no conversion is possible.
• The ShowCenter Player outputs Dolby Digital only via the digital audio outputs (coax and optical), but not through the analog stereo outputs. Thus, you must connect a surround system with Dolby Digital decoder to listen to Dolby Digital soundtracks. If you play an MPEG file with multiple audio tracks, then pressing the Video Out button on the remote control during playback will switch among the tracks.
• DVD-compliant MPEG2 files with Dolby Digital soundtrack may be converted to files with stereo audio by selecting the target format "DVD". In this case, the video data is just copied without conversion, which speeds up the process considerably. Playing the resulting file on the ShowCenter Player will then output the audio on the analog stereo outputs ("downmix"). However, this special conversion only works if a Dolby Digital-compatible software decoder is installed on your PC. In addition, only the first audio track may be converted using this method.
Ok I have a digiatl audio out on the show center but no digital in on sournd sound or TV.
So my next option is what? Convert the AC3 sound track?
