DVD Copy Plus?

I just borrowed DVD Copy Plus from a friend and was wondering if it makes backups of my dvds on to dvd+r discs using my dvd burner? any info at all? need help soon.. if not what is a fast, free, easy meathod to doing this if dvd copy plus wont?

I believe the purpose of Copy Plus is to burn to a cd not a dvd.
