I have installed Real Alternative on XP Home edition. When I click on a .ram link the Media Player Classic launches and then crashes ("sorry... ...encountered a problem").
A couple of questions:
1. Do I assume that when I installed Real Alternative
(v. 6.4.8.2) that the correct codec was installed?
2. I see that I have a RealMedia BandWidth Settings miniprogram. Was this installed by Real Alternative or is this a leftover from my last install of (the real) RealPlayer, that needs to be deleted?
In any case, when when I attempt to change my bandwidth setting from what seems to be the default of T1 (I wish!) to 56k modem, I get the message "Done!" However, when I go back and run the program again, I see that the setting is back to T1.

Any suggestions.

Thanks,

C7
