I was planning on buy a hard drive and hdd loader so i can save my games and have a few questions


1.Does it matter if i buy a used hard drive
2.whats better hdd loader or hdadvance
3.do i just plug the hard drive in and that's it and is it easy
4.will it work if my ps2 is one of the 300 models

u can use any hdd but not recommanding western digital cause they are too big in size. But western digital can be customize. Just plug the hdd in and hdloader/advance. That's all. Hdloader and HDadvance is the same, they are both good.

I'm confused here is what that link says


What is HD Loader?
-HD Loader is a PS2 Program that allows the user to store their games on their hard drive to play the games from the hard drive.



Can I use HD Loader to store my saved games on the HDD?
-No, no saved games can be stored in HDD.

it means you cant use it instead of a memory card. you can save whole games such as GTA III to the hard drive so you dont have to use the disc any more but you cant use it instead of a MC.

cool that sounds better considering i started to get those disc read errors plus swaping cds are annoying.i was also wondering all i need is hdd,hd loader and adapter

You can copy your memory card files to your hard drive also. You need to get the ps2os for this though. Do a search and I'm sure you will find it. You can only copy them on the hard drive and back. you can not play the saved game from the hd. you would have to copy the save back on the mc to play the game. But I love having the extra storage so I don't have to get another MC.
