Ok I have a V10 PS2, Magic V modchip, Official Sony 40gig HD, and the network adapter. I also have a burnt copy of HDLoader on CD-R. Problem is when I put the HD in my PS2 and try to boot the HDLoader disc it says please insert a Playstation disc (red screen of death) but the disc will boot fine without the HD. So I tried to put my modchip in sleep mode for the disc to boot with the HD in and just as I thought same thing. I don't know what to do. Does the Sony HD have anti-mod chip/ backup software that doesn't allow me to do this? Or is there a way to format the HD so that all of sony's software is wiped off and it will be like any other blank HD?
