booting exploit cd-r disk with Swap Magic

anyone have any help?
ive followed 3 or 4 separate guides to buring an exploit onto a cd-r .i use imation cd-r
anyway ive got 4 disks that are supposed to be exploit install disks ( i assume they are burned correctly)
anyway i cant get my v7 with a flip top and swap magic dvd to install the exploit.
any help is greatly appreciated.

you cant use the dvd disc to load cd-r discs.

1. dont you have the swap magic cd?
2. do you have a dvd burner?
3. do you have an original ps2 cd based game?

i do have the swap magic cd... problem is it wont work, several people have had probs with SMcd
i ordered another, it wont work either, so i downloaded SMcd on DVD from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/zxspeky/guides_coming_soon.htm
i burned that and it works, i start the ps2 with SMdvd in it then swap for that one i downloaded, it works, then i try n swap for the exploit disk it loads forever and gives a pink background after a while
and yeah i got dvd burner and use sony dvd-r
no i dont think i have an original ps2 game on cd..
what i do have is an original ps1 game mortal kombat trilogy and is included in the title.db of the disk i burned the exploit to.
i appreciate ya help man im dyin here

let me try to explain how this works. Dvd and cd games are read differently. When you load the swap magic dvd and load you downloaded one, the ps2 still thinks its reading a dvd. You must use an original cd based game so the ps2 starts looking for a cd.

yes, to get the ps2 to load a cd-r disc, you must insert an original cd ps2 game (gameshark, dvd drivers disc, maybe even a demo disc, etc will also work).

im having same probs booting cds i have the smcd2 on dvd so what steps do i use for booting backup cds ie with the smcd burned on dvd
