Quality Software For Our Money ?

I'm sure this may sound ignorant to most of you, but to make a long story short...I am one of the many using DVD X Copy Platinum and I absolutely LOVE IT! Though it's time is short (on my computer)and I have become SPOILED with its ease of use... I just don't have the words to discribe how well it has worked for me, so easy! I just click copy and walk away, bang, I have a backup.
So the question I have is... is there a program that would be EQUAL or match up to this software that even a monkey can use?
I have been all arround this site long enough to know that many of you are using multiple softwares or 1 software with a rediculous procedure to do what is a SIMPLE TASK for DVD X Copy Platinum. I am ABSOLUTELY NOT looking for a long drawn out process and nobody is.
What we are all looking for is simplicity and quality software for our money. Lets just say that I have an extremely large collection to backup.

best and easiest for the money in my opinion are DVD Shrink, burning automatically with DVD Decrypter. And i run DVD43 in the back ground to help things along

Nephilim,
In your personal opinion which program does a better job (better quality) in shrinking, DVDShrink or CloneDVD2. In handling large movies 7 to 8 gbs.

On the larger films I feel DVD Shrink does a better job using the Deep Analysis feature :)

Sorry for the "question marks", won't happen again (the moderator removed them).
Haven't had the time to download and try CloneDVD2 with AnyDVD yet. Sounds promising. I'm just worried that one day when I have to "reinstall" my DVD X Copy, I will not be able to activate it. At least that is what I have been told.

FYI - After setting DVD Shrink up, it only takes 3 "mousie" type clickie things where as DVD XCopy actually needed 4 mouse clicks to work -
XCopy for $100.00 PLUS and DVD Shrink for FREE. now how sweet is that ?
and to boot, for 7+ GB DVD's, DVD Shrink takes longer BUT delivers a better quality backup :D)

I'm on Pete's bandwagon. I mean how can you beat free excellent quality producing software. The only way Shrink could be better is if it had it's own burning engine, but they did the next best thing which was to enable it to automatically burn with other burn apps (one of which is free).

I agree Shrink is an excellent program but even a monkey can work CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD.

I have used both DVD Shrink with DVD Decrypter and CloneDVD2 with AnyDVD and both are good and effective way of backing up DVD (I personally prefer using the DVD Shrink with DVD Decrypter method because it allows me more control over the content of the DVD I am burning. Plus the price is free.)

Finally got arround to trying "Clone DVD 2" with "Any DVD" works just fine. Just seems to be a bit slower than I am used to. Maybe I'm wrong.

Iffin ya want the, "fastest gun in da West". I suggest you try to draw down on InterVideo DVDCopy2 and AnyDVD. One of the fastest burners I've found would be CopyToDVD, IMHO.

I use a combination of programs depending on what im actually doing or how i feel on the day. I use DVDShrink, Nero 6 ultra with recode2, DVDxCOPY Express and DVD Decrypter.
But programs like DVDxCOPY Express definately have their place wether the quality is the very best or not. For example, my parents have a new computer with a DVD burner and to keep things absolutely simple i installed DVDxCOPY Express for them, they have no problems what so ever using it. The only decision they have to make is to wether to tick a box to burn the whole disc or just the movie.
I dont even bother talking to them or attempt trying to explain to them how i rip/burn a DVD, theres noway they could ever get their heads around it. The same applies to alot of other computer users i know.
So thats where programs like DVDxCopy have their definate place.

There are a lot of other current programs other than a non-supportable DVD XCopy that produce better quality backups and are as easy if not easier than XCopy (which, unfortunitly cannot copy all DVD's).
BTW, DVD XCopy clicks -
1, "Is this a rental or borrowed DVD."
2. "To use this program you must agree to respect the rights of the copyright holders.
3. "Movie Only OR Entire Disk"
4 "Start"
DVD Shrink clicks -
1 "Open Disc"
2. "Backup"
3. "OK"
I like to play with other proggys, just to break up the day -
Here's my list -

1. DVD Shrink (ver. 3.2) ISO mode + DVD Decrypter, ISO write mode (FREE)
2. DVD Shrink (ver 3.2) + Nero (ver 6. OR ver 5.5)
3. DVD Shrink (ver 3.2) + CopyToDVD
4. AnyDVD or DVD43 + DVD2One + CopyToDVD
5. AnyDVD or DVD43 + CloneDVD2 (elby)

For DVD-5's ONLY
7. DVD Decrypter in the ISO read mode + DVD Decrypter in the ISO write mode

I know what your saying about the amount of clicks and i agree but my point is some of these basic programs like CloneDVD, xcopy etc are what most of the non-computer minded want and need. Not just for the amount of clicks but because they look pretty, have big green or orange buttons and are alot quicker in the whole process.
I myself dont mind spending an hour and a half ripping and burning a dvd :)
Oh and i forgot anydvd from my little list b4 :P
