I have a 8GB mpeg2 file that i want to author and write to a dvd.
I can either compress the mpeg2 file using TMPGEnc to 4.5 GB and then autor dvd OR author dvd and then shrink the DVD VOB files using DVDShrink.

I know that quality will be lost in either case.
Which one of the above two will have better quality?
Please reply if anyone has done this beofre.
