Hello all, this is my first official post here, although I've crawled the board for a while.

So the problem goes like this: I was watching a tape on the LCD of the camcorder, the screen went blue and I heard a noise. So I stopped the tape and ejected it. There was aprox. 2 inches of tape pulled out. However the tape was not chewed up or anything. I used a pencil and wound the tape back up gently. Tried to play it again and now nothing plays.

The power light on the back just flashes twice over a period of 3 seconds. I called Panasonic (very unhelpful) they said to check the battery. Well the battery is at full power and there was no problem with it before the jam. I can put into memory card mode and the screen powers up and I can zoom in and out, but can?t snap any pictures to the empty card.

They want a flat $300.00 for repairs, hell I didn't even pay that much for the camera. If anyone has ANY suggestions or ideas they would be GREATLY GREATLY appreciated! Thank you Afterdawn crew.
