if your using swapmagic then your best bet will probably be to split it to multi dvd5 discs

if you can get the dvd9+r dual layer discs to load on your ps2 with dms3 mod and have a burner that will write them then a 1:1 copy should be possible for you

So is it impossible to boot a dvd9 copy using a fliptop? I have heard of it being done with a combination boot disk, cdloader/cogswap etc and possibly a high toc refesh (dual layer disk??) and then swap to dvd9 copy. Can it not be done? All assuming the ps2 can read the media of course. I think I can achieve it with a verbatim dvdrom book disk. Need to know before I order some expensive DL media once my flip top comes... if it comes.(another story heh)

Thank you.

no it's not impossible it has been done with limited success using swapmagic dvd>cogswap/dvdloader>dvd9 orignal ps2 game for toc refresh>backup, if your burner supports booktype settings change it to dvd-rom for your dvd9 backup for the best chance of a working backup
