Transferring DV tapes to DVD

Hi,
I first capture my entire dv tapes to my hard disk using the nero software. My dv tapes are in LP so about 90 minutes. When I transfer in a resolution of 5000 kbps it doesn't fit onto the dvd. I thought you can atleast put an entire DV tape onto a DVD of good quality maybe not best. The total space occupies is 7.3 GB . Can someone help me please?

hi aptu

you did not mention if files are already dvd compliant. lets assume the are...then you can use DVD Shrink to compress flies to fit on dvd
