Nero shows DVD+DL write not supported by Pioneer 108

Tested Pioneer 108 with Nero,in Supported Write Features , DVD+R DL was not checked . Used Pioneer site to check firmware ,It tested as 1.04 , Latest update is 1.14 but the test said " no update needed ".cdrinfo.com showed a nero info tool test with Pioneer 108 with 1.06 firmware and it had DVD+R DL checked. I'm assuming if I download update 1.14 I'll get DL write enabled ,but I don't plan on burning DL until prices drop. It burns single layer fine now at 4X, some coasters at 8X . I'm leary about updating , says you can't go back. "If it ain't broke don't fix it "?Any comments ?

I think you said all that needs to be said. 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'.
