i have a dell 9100 3.2 ht p4, nec6100 8x with new bios and a gig ram...and i still get slow rips...what can i do?

When ripping the DVD, don't run too many other programs. or use Xilisoft DVD Ripper to have a try.

dvd shrink is the sole prog running...dell is to send me a new drive...it was playing dvds funy, but if it still doesnt rip, ill get a lite on 16x internal and slap it in a ide-usb 2.0 case...note...i can burn 4000mb in like 10 minutes or so...
