I just bought a GameShark 2 version 2 from ebay and when I put in the one for booting ps2 disks it brings up the red screen. Can anyone help?

gs 2 won't work on your version (i don't think any version gameshark will work).

The 2nd disk (for ps1 games) works perfectly (even to boot backups of ps1 games).

Yeah that's why I switched to CodeBreaker.... $20 or $30 for a upgradable cheat system with KB support and USB thumb drive support and no need for the dongle

B/C I don't want to spend $25 on something that only works for booting. I figure if I can use something for booting and cheating its a better deal (plus the GS2 was only $5).

Thanks but they only carry 3.0 which doesn't support v.9. I think I need 3.2.

Just a warning. Ps2cover hasn't exactly been the fastest site I have ordered from (haven't even shipped my order yet been 2 weeks). I guess if your looking for cheap and don't care if your disk gets to you after the ps3's lifespan ends then go ahead. There are some other sites that have been mentioned on the forum that seem a little better. They may, however, be more expensive. Who knows though maybe you will have better luck then me.

Good luck.

Has anyone heard anything about/ordered from www.playstationmodchip.com ? They have the 3.2 disks for $14.40.
