V1 PS2 wont play DVD-R Backups

I have a v1 PS2 which is chipped. I am not too sure what chip is installed but when runnig CD-r backups I boot from an XtremeFM-Radio disk and then eject and put in the Backup CD-r.. THe problem I now have is that DVD-r backups dont work through this process!!!

My ps2 will read DVD-r movie backups, but how can i get it to read DVD-r game backups??

I have made a swipe card, i have tried booting from an original DVD-Rom game and when the Playstation2 logo comes up I swipe and put in the backup disk but the screen just stays black...

Any help is much appreciated.

not familar with that boot disc but if you can use your boot method to load cd loader then you can use the toc refresh feature in cd loader by using an orignal ps2 dvd game and then swap for backup
