MC Exploit/Version 10 PS2

Does the mc exploit work on a version 10 console. Just wondering because the MC exploit that worked in my friends V4 boots the PSX game in my V10.

i think i have the same problem and other one, because i dont have chip and i use swap dvd to boot backups. From the swap dvd and dvdloader i can run everything as hdloader and ps2 hdd menu, where i can confirm that my mem card is ok with all files, but when i try booting nothing happens, just start the ps1 disk ( i used swap magic CD).
