i hope someone can help me please. i have a JVC GR-SXM240 SVHS-C (analog)camcorder and i want to transfer some videos to my hard drive, how go about doing that? i ended up going out and buy a dvd recorder to transfer the analog to digital but then i cannot seem to save the dvd to my hard drive. By the way my DVD recorder plays DVD-RAM and DVD-R disc. CAN SOME PLEASE HELP

You will need an analog/digital video capture card.

xhudte, I have a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 350 capture card. I use it for capturing old VHS movies off of my VCR.

I have many home videos that I have made with my old JVC analog camcorder. I just put the JVC docking unit into the VCR and capture to the computer through the capture card.

The card that I have is expensive. I wanted tv and fm radio, as well as the capture, so I forked out nearly $200 U.S. to get it.
