before i spend any money on buying a new dvd burner i would like to ask a few questions.

*i have ps2 v7 and swap magic cd 3.0 / dvd 2.0 with slide card

1)Can u directly burn a ps2 game directly from dvd to dvd (or do i need a certain procedure)[can i use nero]

2)which types of cd are the best (cheapest/best)

3) Can i use dvd-rw?

4)which cd do i use? If i use the DVD swap magic fix for my DVD-r, if the black and white screens come up,i wouldnt be able to change the video mode (ex: PAL/NTSC/NORMAL : found in the cd version 3.0 of swapp magic) how can i fix it?

5)which cd loader (fixes) do i use/ is there a different loader for dvd?



If anyone could help me with any of those questions it would be greatly help.

answers
1.yes you can do a disc to disc copy of ps2 single layer dvd games and yes you can use nero
2. most quality cdr's i have tried seem to work ok
3. would not recomend the use of rw media
4.try cd loader beta 5.2 it has a built in pal/ntsc patcher
5.check out http://www.swapmagicfix.com to find what sub menu you need to select to get your backup to play

First of all thank-you for the replie.

You said use cd loader beta 5.2 with a built in pal/ntsc patcher? Where can i get it? I read the stuff at swapmagicfix.com and im a bit confuse.
How do u use a cd loader? do you have to burn it onto the game or onto an empty cd/dvd. If i could burn it on an empty dvd, then can i use a rw?

what do u mean by single layer?

I can't really understand what you are saying but this is how it works.

Notes: Yes you burn the cdloader image to cd.

1.Load swap magic
2.At swap screen swap to cdloader cd as you would a game.
3.Swap to the game you want to boot.
--- Or swap to proper TOC size then to game you want to boot.
