After 100's of my dvd back-ups, now no program will burn

I am a newbie: please help!

I almost completed backing up my whole collection, then abruptly, my pc stopped burning with a "WRITE ERROR" all the time now. Whatever program I use now, it retrieves the data from the DVD ok, nut as soon as it gets in write mode, the write error appears.

1. DVD X COPY gold: I burned my collection with this program. Stopped writing to DVD. I also tried evrything on the troubleshooting guide for DVDXCOPY.

2. 1click: I tried this program next, same thing. It would extract the DVD data, but gives write error.

3. Decryptor to Shrink: I tried these programs, same thing. It would extract the DVD data, but I'm having problems trying to burn it NERO 6.3.1.25

Please help! I really liked using xpress (DVDXCOPY gold). It worked soo well, but stopped cold.
