I followed the entire process how to copy a DVD to DIVX,to 2 CDs, and when I am using
Virtual Dub , there is the section that has you enter 2 jobs for first pass
and second pass.
Then, you go to File-Job Control and Start.

Here is my problem:
When I click on Start, I immediately(no time passes) get the word ERROR next
to each of the filenames in the box, and NOTHING happens.

The software should at least give me a clue what is wrong.
I have followed the instructions explicitly several times and I end up in this spot,
and I checked each step of the way to ensure the files were being created
by each step.

Is there any fix for this of clue someone could please shed on this?

I appreciate any help at all, and I can find good ways to reward people who
help me!

Thanks,
Robert

First possible reason: you've entered the same name for both pass's result files -- name them as firstpass.AVI and secondpass.AVI.

Thanks, but I did that.
Any other possible reasons?
Thanks,

Only thing that comes to my mind are the resolutions after cropping, etcetc... DivX has some bitchy rules how these sizes need to be set, generally speaking both width and height need to be multiplies of 16. Although I don't have a slightest idea if this causes the issue, but let's try to track what causes this :-)
