I burned the dvd to VCD using DVD Copy Plus.
The video appears to be ok, however, when there is fast motion the video is slow and you can see the pixels in the picture. Is there a software out there that can clean up the images??

I would dump dvd copy plus and go to using dvd2avi and tmpgenc. With tmpgenc you can set motion precision to high quality and this will cut down greatly the problem you describe. However, it will not eliminate it altogether. If your dvd player can play svcd, I would go to that format because at a high biterate, you can come very close to eliminating that problem altogether.

I do not want to use SVCD cuz the newer DVDs wont play it. From reading the forums, VCD or CVD is the way to go. I am going to try using DVD2SVCD again. For some reason, I was having problems with DVD2SVCD - it wouldnt let me use VCD or CVD format. Since then, I have been able to use them and am trying with the software again.

I don't know who told you that, but there is a nite and day difference between svcd and vcd. Mine plays both and I only make svcd because of the difference(even though it takes more disks). It's like this: vcd = vhs+ and svcd = near dvd(at the high biterate). I think you should make a 5 minute section of a movie in vcd and svcd (take a section with a lot of movement). burn it to cd and play it in a player that can play both. You will see what i mean.
