2. Modchip Messiah2.
3. Gameshark2 Version2
4. SONY DVD ROM
5. TDK 8X Dual Internal DVD Writer, Model AID+880NA.http://www.tdk-asia.com/sg/products/peripherals/dvdwriter/intdvddual8x.php 6. Nero Express 6 (Comes with DVD Writer)
7. DVD Decrypter
8. Alcohol 120% v1.9.2.1705 (Trial)
I have downloaded this PS2 game "Naruto Narutimett Hero 2 (JAP)". Its an ISO image file. How do I make it playable in my PS2? Please guide me. Thanks.
1. What type of DVDRs should I used for my PS2? DVD-R or DVD+R?
2. Would any quality DVDRs work or only those Good quality ones will work? Branded or Non-branded? Please recommend.
3. What burning software should I used? Nero, DVD Decrypter, Alcohol 120% or please recommend.
4. Are there any procedures/steps needed to create the game?
5. Can DVDRW be used for creating PS2 games backup? If yes, can it be played on PS2?

1.a v8 should have no problems reading dvd+r or dvd-r
2.best to use quality dvdr discs you will get less problems with those
3.any of those software will work fine, but a lot of people here prefer dvd decrypter
4.create an image file of your game on your pc hard disc then burn it back to dvdr
5.would not recomend the use of dvdrw discs, alot of ps2's have problems reading them
Its not working. I burn the image to both verbatim & imation dvd-r, load it into my ps2 then it show me the red screen. Now the discs are useless. Waste my money. Its quite expensive to buy them.
If you are not sure what you are doing, why not try writing to a +/- RW first. I've used unbranded, Intenso -RW and Intenso, Zero Defex +RW's and never had a problem with my v5 PS2.
Get your backup's working on RW's first will at least prove your copy/PS2 is working ok.
Damn, my set can't play those DVD-R that I burned but I am able to play CD-R but my friend is able to play those DVD-Rs that I burned but not able to play CD-Rs.
Our sets are the same but the only difference is his modchip is Messiah 1 while mine is 2.
I got this game image file "Yu Yu Hakusho Dark Tournament" USA version. Also, I found this Atlantis PS2 Backup Toolkit version 2 somewhere in the forum. I installed & followed the tutorial that came with it but when I got to step 3, I could not proceed as the image does not have ".PSS" but it sure got lots of ".FMV" in it.
Is there another way of fitting a 1-2GB onto a 700MB CD-R?? Like compressing the movie files in them. How to go about doing it??
