I was wondering how is everybody finding the right ports for certain P2P programs.I was trying to find the right ports for this one P2P program, and still I am getting firewall status. The ports on my end are open though, and my firewall is turned off.I am using Direcway also,so the ports in the P2P programs will not automatically open for me.I have to manually open all my ports, since there is no P2P program that has automatic settings for Satellite internet.I could run a port scan, but I am probably gonna get the same results.I was wondering is there a way I can somehow forward my ports straight through the P2P program,so there is no need to keep guessing on what port works.I am trying to find my ports for Edonkey2000.I would use Overnetlike I used to when I had dial up,but I can't even get through the unclear status.Another thing is if it is possible, can somebody link me to the best place to find those ports to open up.I have been searching, searching, and searching trying to find my answers, but it seems to be some kind of secret I guess or is not needed anymore since everybody is running dial/dsl/cable internet connections.I got this connection thinking maybe I might have an advantage as in bandwidth, but apparently it seems to be depressing since it isn't compatible with anything. It feels like manually doing everything to make it better.I can't get cable or dsl so telling me to get one of those also would be no help. Thanks to whoever reads this, and understands what I am saying.
