Studio 9 MP3 problem

I'm ediiting with Studio 9. I can drop an MP3 file onto my timeline but when I come to play it, Studio says;

Failed to load MP3 file.

I've patched Studio to the latest version but this still didn't fix it.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you solve it.
