Ripping with Smartripper

I just got done ripping a NTSC DVD with smartripper and when I load it into DVD2AVI and preview it, that statistics tell me that it is a Film with the % constantly rising. Also during the preview I noticed that whenever there is a fast movement, black lines appear and then disappear at the locations of movement. Why?
