Is there any one who can suggest the best software that allows you to adjust the bit rate when copying dvd's as it has been proven to my satisfaction that doing this enables most domestic dvd players to read copied discs (the reason being that most domestic dvd players don't read copied dvd's that are recorded at a high bit rate of approx 8000 bits/sec or high quality, but will read at good quality or less than 6000 bits/sec with no problem)
any suggestions would be appreciated
Probably a lot easier to buy yourself a decent DVD player. Have had no problems playing backed up copies on a standalone player over many hundreds of burns. Just use decent quality media.
thankyou for your useful comment, but perhaps you could explain why copied dvd's will work ok in a cheap dvd player but refuse to be seen in either panasonic or sony dvd players this does no appear to be a dvd player quality problem, but more a read/write/software problem any further assistance would be appreciated
with reference to media i have tried verbatim,single and dual layer,zero defex 4x & 8x,datasafe 4&8x,
datasafe dual layer, and many others, perhaps you can recommend a better quality disc,
thankyou for your advice i will try ritek, have found that verbatim ok but not as good as datasafe, ive had lots of verbatim coasters in the past, i only hope there quality of media has improved, any further help would be appreciated.
