PS2 Games - Backing Up using DVD Decrypter - PROBLEM!

Ok, im trying to backup ps2 games - GTA vice city was my first attempt...

my current file system is NTFS therefore when using dvd decrypter the file stored is a .iso .

This file is put on my computer no problem at all

However when coming to write to the blank dvd, the program just stops, doesnt even start to burn the image, stays on 0%. i left it for at least 40 mins last night, but stayed on 0%, the buffer was on 100%.

1. Why is this?

2. What can i do to solve it?

3. Im using verbatim dvd-r, would +r be any better for ps2 games?

4. Burning at 1x

5. PS2 is v7, but that shouldnt matter as it doesnt get to the stage where i put the disc into the ps2!!

6. dvd burner is BTC 1004.

7. closed all background apps.

Any help would be appreciated.

don't know if this will solve your problem or not but it might be worth checking if your aspi layer is installed and working correctly
