Ripping DVD Menus to work on PC with avi/mepg files???

Guys & gals,
I have been experimenting with DVD Decryper, DVDX, and a host of other backup & ripping programs. DVD Decryper backups my dvds to hard disk fine nd I can play them as dvd disk through my PCs dvd player software with menus working ok. The ripping programs work and I compared using lots of different codecs.

This is the hard part and I don't know if it could be done. I have all of these movie avi, mpeg1/2, etc. ripped files (one per title/chapter) and I want to also rip the dvd menu to PC and somehow config so that when played and a chapter is selected to load/run/reference the appropriate ripped video file.

Any ideas? Can this be done?

Well all, sort of figured it out myself. I used DVD ReMake (demo) version...can't export dvd...and picked out all the menus...then allowed me to right click on them and export/save to .bmp picture format.

Using DVDX previously I was able to get the menu motion frames ripped.

So, now I also have all the static menus. Only thing is that the menu buttons aren't there. I am planning on using XMT-SMIL markup to add mouse-over sprites and add HTML reference to my ripped movie files.

So there u have it...player.

I also tried DVD Shrink and really liked the way is organized/classified all menus together in an exploter-like tree. When I selected the menus to extract I got an info message that the menus would only be video/pic format and all menu navigation buttons and alike would be gone. That's ok for me...but only exported as DVD or ISO format. That's not what I wanted.
