I am new 2 dvd burning. i used to burn them using a cd burner. What is a good program i should use that can burn movies to 1 disc.

DVD Shrink and DVD Decrytper are two good ones to start off with :)

You will not be able to burn DVD's using a CD Burner - DVD burner required. Shrink and Decrypter are good for starters.

you can rip a dvd to a cd but the end result is a poor imitation for a VCD.
A good mix is CloneDVD ver2 from elaborate bytes with Slysoft Anydvd running in the background

I like to use Nero Recode 2, and if the DVD is copy protected I have DVD Idle Pro running in the background.

... Either use Nero (if you don't have it, get a trial version) or the freeware version of VCDEasy ... and use DVD43 v1.4 (the free one) running in the background ...
