I successfully burnt a dvd with nero onto a dvd+rw, I used the same methods with a dvd+r and it says that it failed to burn at 4x. Any help would be appreciated

Is it the same brand/make as the +rw?

Have you tried reducing the speed of the burn to the +r - any improvements?

If not post your failure log here and we can all have a look over it and maybe spot something.

If you post your log here, remove the serial number from the top of it first

Sorry to learn that you still failed after taking safety precautions. If you're using Nero, did you ask it to determine the burn speed for you?

Actually, they are skipping sheep.......

The 'pixies' I refer to are the little bastards that get into your PC overnight and for no apparent reason introduce little faults, that eventually vanish for no reason whatsoever.......
