EA Sports Games - Backup Problem

Hi there

ive been trying to backup up need for speed : hot pursuit 2 and nfs : underground.

i had saved the image file to my computer (.mds / .mdf) using alcohol 120% then tried to burn the image back to dvd (using verbatim dvd-r) at 2x using alcohol 120% again!

now the problem is when ive put the blank disc in to burn, nothing simply happens, stays on 0% but the buffer is on 100% etc

how can i burn this successfully..i know ea sports game s can be a problem, so how do i burn them?
