Can anyone help me out on finding a mod chip that will work for the version 5 and definetely play Dvd+r backups of games. Also, is it possible to burn backups of backups and get them to play? Thanks in advance.

its not the chip that can read + or - discs its the version of ps2 yours will be fine for reading + discs so whatever chip you decide should be good
